TCS NQT Syllabus 2024

The TCS NQT Syllabus 2024 batches have been revised. For this year’s hiring, a new curriculum has been established. In their selection process, some additional sections have been included. This page provides a detailed explanation of the TCS NQT Syllabus for the 2024 batch. Make sure you read the full syllabus to avoid missing any important information.

IMPORTANT NOTE:

  1. No negative marking.
  2. This year’s TCS NQT is non-adaptable.
  3. Traits were not included in this year’s exam
  4. Calculator and rough paper are both present on your desktop screen, you won’t receive any additional rough paper in the exam.
    While doing the test, you are not permitted to lower your eyes.
  5. This syllabus is only for On-Campus placements.

TCS NQT Test Pattern 2024:-

This year, TCS NQT modified the curriculum in preparation for employing 2023 graduates.
The recruitment test now includes a few new sections.

  1. Foundation Section (For Ninja aspirants)
  2. Advance Section (mandatory for Digital and Prime Aspirants)

Part A – Foundation Section

There are four sections in this round. This round’s difficulty level is Moderate. Four sections are of,

  1. Traits
  2. Verbal Ability
  3. Reasoning Ability
  4. Numerical Ability

 

Part B – Advanced Section

There are three sections in this round. This round’s difficulty level is High. Two sections are of,

  1. Advanced Quantitative Ability and Advanced Reasoning Ability
  2. Advanced Coding Ability

 

Let’s discuss about the syllabus of each sections in brief.

Section – 1 (Traits)

Traits are nothing but a section in which TCS Systems will check weather you are a robot or not. You will have to choose the image given from a set of images to start the exam.

Section – 2 (Numerical Ability)

With a 75-minute time limit (shared), this section consists of 20 questions.
All the questions from the TCS NQT are included below.

  1. Number System, LCM & HCF
  2. Divisibility
  3. Numbers & Decimal Fractions
  4. Geometry
  5. Area, Shapes & Perimeter
  6. Percentages
  7. Allegations and Mixtures
  8. Ratios, Proportion
  9. Work and Time
  10. Speed Time and Distance
  11. Profit and Loss
  12. Averages
  13. Equations
  14. Ages
  15. Series and Progressions
  16. Mean, Median, Mode, Variance, and Standard Deviation
  17. Pie Charts
  18. Tabular DI
  19. Graphical DI
  20. Simplifications and Calculations (Rational and Irrational Number)

  22. Clocks & Calendar

Section – 3 (Verbal Ability)

This phase has a time limit of 75 minutes (shared) and consists of 25 questions.
Following are some of the subjects from which questions will be drawn:

  1. Word Completion
  2. Sentence Completion
  3. Error Identification
  4. Arrangement
  5. Formal or Informal Sentences, Sentence Joining
  6. Meanings
  7. Reading Comprehension

Section – 4 (Reasoning Ability)

20 questions must be answered in 75 minutes (shared) for this phase of the TCS NQT.

  7. Cube Folding, Paper Cuts and Folds
  8. Statement and Conclusion

Section – 1.1 (Advanced Quantitative Ability)

With a 25-minute time limit (shared), this section consists of approx. 15 questions.

  4. Allegations and Mixtures
  5. Averages
  6. Clocks and Calendars
  7. Equations
  8. Percentages

Section – 1.2 (Advanced Reasoning Ability)

With a 25-minute time limit (shared), this section consists of approx. 15 Questions.

  5.  Ages

Note: Last year TCS NQT had Divided Advanced Section into two parts in but this time the section of Advanced Quants and Advanced Logical has been combined with a total time allotted to this is 25 Minutes in which approx. 15 questions might be asked.

Section – 2 (Advanced Coding Ability)

There are two questions in this part, and you have 90 minutes to complete them.

You must offer a solution in any of your preferred coding languages to the problems in this area.
The languages you can choose from are listed below.
