How to Prepare for TCS NQT
Tata Consultancy Services have made an official announcement for the TCS NQT Exam 2023. Four main categories make up the TCS NQT Exam selection process. Some of them are online testing, technical interviews, managerial interviews, and HR interviews. TCS Off Campus Hiring is open to B.E/B.Tech/M.E./ M.Tech/ MCA/ M.Sc for 2023 campus graduates. TCS NQT (National Qualifier Test) has been started by TCS for hiring Freshers and Graduates for Ninja and Digital Profiles. The packages are 3.6 LPA and 7 LPA for Ninja and Digital Profiles respectively.

Each of the rounds is explained in detail below.
TCS NQT Foundation Round
It is the first round with a difficulty level of Easy to Medium. There are about 65-70 questions which have to be attempted in 75 minutes. It is a non-adaptive test, and has no negative marking. It is divided into four sections:

a. Traits
It is the first section which consists of personality based questions. Duration- 1 minute. Number of question asked in traits varies from 4 to 5 questions. This year, Traits varied depending on the college in the On- Campus exam.
b. Numerical Ability
Number of questions- 20. Duration- 75 minutes (shared). The important topics in this are:

Note- It is mandatory to clear this round to advance to the next round. The candidates who pass this round but do not clear the Advanced Round are shortlisted for the Ninja profile.
This format is only for TCS On- Campus Exam
TCS NQT Advanced Round
This is the second round which consists of three sections. The duration of this round is 75 minutes. The difficulty level of this round is High. The preparation strategies for the ITP Advanced test is given below. The three sections are:

Note- The candidates who clear both the Foundation and the Advanced Round are shortlisted for the Digital profile.
Interview
TCS conducts its interviews in three parts.
- Technical Interview
- Managerial Interview
- HR Interview
a. Technical Interview
Most of the campus graduates already know about this round, This is the most important interview section, In this, a candidate’s coding and technical skills are tested. It includes questions from programming languages, technical skills, projects, internships etc.
b. Managerial Interview
This TCS NQT Managerial Round is to maintain and demonstrate your self-assurance, leadership abilities, and ideas. And keep in mind that your responses should reflect your character and sincerity rather than being provided merely to impress and land a job. It includes scenario-based, puzzle-based and behavioral questions.
c. HR Interview
The TCS NQT Technical and Managerial Interview shortlisted applicants will be requested to move on to the HR Interview phase. The TCS NQT HR Interview is the simplest of all the interviews for new hires. To be confident and communicate openly is the fundamental requirement for passing the HR Round. It focuses on a candidate’s soft skills, personality, experience, work experience etc.
Additional Skills to Develop
Additionally, you can work on upskilling and learn additional skills. The knowledge of the following subjects will go a long way to prepare you for TCS ITP.
i. Data Structure Algorithms
Interviews tend to ask questions based on advanced concepts of DSA in the ITP interviews.
ii. Interview Puzzles
Puzzles are an integral part in HR and Managerial Interviews. These test the candidate’s IQ and Problem solving skills.
